Solar power systems are generally divided into two types: on-grid and off-grid. Opting for an on-grid system means your setup will be connected to the national grid. Off-grid systems are ideal for locations where a reliable grid connection is not available, offering an independent power solution.

Net metering is a beneficial policy for renewable energy users, allowing you to generate electricity at your premises and export any excess back to the national grid. This turns the grid into a kind of energy bank, which you can draw from as needed. This service is available to customers of both the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Lanka Electricity Company Pvt. Ltd. (LECO).

At Eco Solar Rays, we tailor our systems to meet each client’s electricity consumption requirements. Should you generate more electricity than you use, CEB or LECO will compensate you, allowing you to recover your investment within 3-4 years through the Net Accounting system.

If your consumption exceeds the energy produced by your solar system, you will be billed for the additional units used by CEB or LECO.

Standard grid-tied solar systems do not facilitate the storage of electricity.

The duration of the installation process can vary, depending on site-specific conditions and environmental factors. Generally, a 5KW solar system installation by Eco Solar can be completed in 2 to 3 days, while a 10KW system may take around 3 to 4 days.

Solar systems are virtually maintenance-free. However, should any issues arise, our dedicated team of engineers and technicians is always ready to provide prompt and efficient assistance.
